We are looking for administrative professionalsinterested in helping us with our mission of providing a socialimpact to members of an at-risk population that need your help ontheir road back to a healthy, productive life.Position Summary:Reports to programdirector. Directly supervises clerks. Performs a variety ofclerical and administrative duties related to human resources andadministration in compliance with federal, state and local laws,Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and TexasDepartment of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.Essential Functions:Performs a variety of administrative andclerical functions required by the contract including humanresources and programs. Maintain confidentiality with sensitivefacility information.Maintain up-to-datepersonnel files.Ensure all new hireinformation and other personnel changes are entered into thecomputer and proper notification forwarded to payroll and ensureadequate and up-to-date personnel records aremaintained.Process paperwork for terminatingemployees, including retirement report and forms whenapplicable.Inform new employees of availableinsurance benefits, procedures, etc. Coordinate with insurancecompany regarding claims, resolution of problem cases,etc.Provide follow-up correspondence toapplicants and agencies regarding employmentstatus.Complete and maintain accurate weeklyand monthly reports.Type reports, maintainrecords and files. Maintain calendar of events, scheduleappointments and take minutes ofmeetings.Maintain central library of requireddocuments, handbooks, directives, facility operating procedures andother related materials.Coordinate allaccounting functions with the corporate financedepartment.Coordinate or participate intransition meetings.Promote the development ofpositive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors andintervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provideregular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures andintervention techniques.Maintainaccountability of staff, offenders and property; adhere to safetypractices.It is expected that the incumbentshall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilitiesas determined by management.Education and ExperienceRequirements:High school diploma orequivalent and two (2) years of human resources, administrative orrelated experience required. Must be computer proficient. Must beknowledgeable in business correspondence, including writing,spelling, grammar and appropriate formats, and possess stronginterpersonal communication skills. Valid driver'slicense in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving recordrequired, unless waived by management.Post Hire Requirements:Must successfully complete annual in-service trainingrequirements and pass an annual background check, both of whichmust be approved by Texas Department of Criminal Justice.#ZR#Talent -
