Job Overview: This position operates blasting equipment and airless paint pump to blast, coat and paint large pressure vessels, tanks, other OCTG equipment and smaller parts. Responsible for adjusting and setting air pressure and equipment as required also mixing, using, and applying different types of industrial paints. Requirements & Skills: Apply a variety of abrasive blasting techniques for surface preparation (abrasive blasting, sandblasting, hand/power tool). Apply a variety or paints and specialty coatings. Interact with crew members in a team environment, as well as with Supervisor. 2 years experience of blasting, coating and painting in manufacturing or fabrication. Or applicable Indusrtrial painting knowlegde. Must be able to operate airless paint pump Must be able to properly use and care for assigned tools and equipment Must be able to climb and complete some work on ladders Vocational or technical education a plus Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb stoop, twist, reach and work at elevated heights for extended periods of time Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and carry objects up to 25lbs frequently Must be able to in outside in extreme cold or hot temperatures Knowledge of relative safety standards High school diploma or equivalent preferred and/or training
