Registered Nurse

MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Nursing Specialist to join a dynamic team at a well-established acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!

Pay: $65,540 to $90,320 per year

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients' health status through interaction, addressing their concerns and symptoms.
• Medical History Documentation: Accurately document patient medical histories, current conditions, and symptoms.
• Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are informed and comfortable before examinations and treatments.
• Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Care Plan Collaboration: Work with the medical team to develop and update individualized patient care plans.
• Wound Care: Provide wound care, including cleaning and dressing wounds as needed.
• Assist in Procedures: Support the healthcare team during medical procedures when necessary.
• Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor medical equipment, ensuring it functions properly.
• Specimen Collection: Collect blood, urine, and other specimens for laboratory testing.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, offering clear instructions and addressing concerns.
• Supervision: Oversee licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students to ensure high-quality patient care Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • CPR-BCLS Certification
  • ACLS Certification: C4 - required within 6 months
  • NRP Certification: Required within 6 months for C4 and L&D
  • PALS or ENPC Certification: Required within 18 months for Pediatrics
