Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Abilene, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Registered Nurse - PACU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in outpatient surgery center PACU setting /n• No call, no weekends, no holidays /n• No more than 2-3 consecutive weekday shifts /n• 2 years of experience in service line required /n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS /n• Texas nursing license required with submittal /n• Travel experience preferred /n• Altera charting experience preferred but not required /n• Skills include ambulatory/outpatient care, Phase I PACU, pre/post operative care /n• Experience with dysrhythmia recognition/management, conscious sedation, and pain assessment /n• Work with various surgical specialties including ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics /n• Handle emergency medications and management of pediatric patients /n• Airway assessment and placement of oral/nasal airways /n• Knowledge of malignant hyperthermia protocol and RASS scale required /n• Must complete facility drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing /n• Complete orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours during orientation /n• Must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive outpatient surgery center with a dedicated PACU unit.
