of 2 years in the specialty License: State RN License or Compact
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with MedHost
and GE MacLab Description: March start date preferred. Experience
with MedHost and GE MacLab is required. Day shift will generally be
from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some variation possible at the end of
shifts. On-call duties will be required. Travel experience is
strongly preferred. Candidates must reside more than 150 miles away
from the facility or live in a metropolitan area. The flu vaccine
is required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only.
Previous charge experience in a cath lab setting is preferred.
Experience with patient ratios is expected. Knowledge and
experience with charting systems are required. Familiarity with
various cath lab procedures and responsibilities is essential.
Additional skills in infection prevention and monitoring procedural
sedation are necessary. The candidate should have experience with
interventions like pacemaker insertion, cardiac catheterizations,
and IABP placement/removal. Understanding of antiarrhythmics, IV
vasopressors, and emergency medications is required. Candidates
should be able to work well within an interdisciplinary support
team. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics, with a
focus on cardiac conditions. Experience with special procedures
such as ICD implants is a plus. Knowledge of special equipment
relevant to the cath lab is necessary. Compliance with drug
screening protocols upon arrival is mandatory. Candidates should
avoid any products that could lead to a positive drug screening
result. Previous permanent staff need to be away for one year to be
eligible for traveler positions. Documentation must be available
within 72 hours of accepting the offer. Preferred experience with
charting systems includes Altera, although it is not required.
