ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Abilene, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday with call and late days as required • Provide surgical support for Neuro/Spine, Ortho/trauma, and General/robotics/trauma procedures • Craniotomy and burr hole experience is required - hard stop requirement • Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends • 40 hours of orientation required • One pre-approved time off allowed • Weekend shifts vary per contract • Work with patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • 2 years of experience in service line required • Previous charge experience preferred • Travel experience preferred • Required certifications: ACLS, CNOR, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, BLS • Must have experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and various surgical procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, mastectomy, spinal fusions, joint replacements, and trauma cases • Charting system experience with Allscripts preferred • Trauma Level I and II experience preferred • Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer • Drug screen conducted upon arrival including marijuana testing • 6-8 hours of non-billable modules completed during orientation Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive main operating room that specializes in complex surgical procedures including neurosurgery, spine surgery, orthopedic trauma, and general surgery with robotic capabilities.
