Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist
to join our vibrant team, where we are committed to delivering
superior patient-centered care that promotes wellness and recovery.
The role involves working closely with patients who have varying
degrees of physical and psychological difficulties, brought on by
illness, aging, or accidents, and helping them regain and adapt
their abilities for daily living and working. This position
requires a compassionate professional with an adept understanding
of therapy practices and patient needs within a rehabilitation
setting. Assess patients' health conditions and overall
environment, formulate treatment plans to achieve their highest
level of independence. Implement patient therapy plans, involving
therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of
technological equipment. Regularly evaluate patient progress and
adjust treatments accordingly. Educate patients and their families
about treatment plans and maintenance exercises. Maintain patient
records and comply with healthcare regulations and standards.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in
creating and implementing tailored therapy plans. Capable of
handling sensitive situations with empathy and confidentiality.
Comfortable using clinical software and rehabilitation technology.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Must be a
licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice. NBCOT
Certification preferred.
