Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will provide vital therapy to patients with diverse medical conditions, facilitating recovery and promoting independence in daily living activities. This role is crucial in helping patients improve their quality of life, supporting both our facility-based and home-based services, in line with our mission to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care. Evaluate patients’ condition and needs to develop an effective occupational therapy treatment plan. Implement therapeutic interventions to address patient-specific issues, such as mobility, eating, and dressing. Assist patients in performing exercises and activities required for skill development and recovery. Educate patients and families on home care exercises and strategies for coping with daily tasks. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to plan and execute patient care strategies. Document patient care and progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures and follow acute safety standards in patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle physically demanding tasks Skilled in creating and following through on therapy plans Capability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency with occupational therapy tools and techniques Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of practice. CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
