Occupational Therapist Location: Snyder, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,571 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Occupational Therapy Assistant Profession: Occupational Therapy Assistant Specialty: Long Term Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years OTA experience in LTC setting License: TX or compact license Certifications: DOR experience (preferred) Description: Execute specialized therapy plans designed by the OT. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and coordination. Teach patients how to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating, often using adaptive techniques. Instruct patients and families on how to use special tools like reachers, mobility aids, or modified kitchen utensils. Record detailed notes on patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns. Report findings to the supervising OT to adjust treatment plans as needed. Provide emotional encouragement to patients. Train caregivers on how to assist with home programs. Prepare treatment areas and clean equipment. Handle administrative duties as needed.
