Description: Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve
swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities. They work to
decrease aspirations. Communication treatment plans may include
techniques that enhance the individual's ability to be understood
and to better understand others. They lead, guide, and direct the
delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services in
accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Services are
provided in accordance with established policies and procedures to
