Details/n /n - Location: Abilene, TX 79606 (Abilene healthcare /
West Texas)/n - Assignment Length: 13 weeks/n - Start Date: April
13, 2026/n - End Date: July 13, 2026/n - Shift: Night, 3x12-hour
shifts (19:00 - 07:00)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Estimated Weekly
Salary: $1820 - $1910 per week/n - Employment Type: Travel / Travel
NICU RN/n - Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – Level II/n
- Orientation: 16 hours (includes 6-8 hours of modules)/n /n/nJob
Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent NICU
RN / neonatal nursing experience required/n - Active Registered
Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at time of submission)/n -
Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required/n - Must live
at least 150 miles from facility (travel nursing eligibility)/n -
Ability to float to Mother Baby or North Campus as needed/n -
Charting experience required; Altera electronic charting experience
preferred/n - First-time travelers accepted — great opportunity for

items within 72 hours of offer acceptance/n - Flu vaccine required
(medical/religious exemptions accepted); COVID-19 vaccine not
required/n /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Provide high-quality
neonatal nursing care to neonates (>34 weeks) in a Level II NICU
setting/n - Attend high-risk deliveries and perform APGAR scoring
and immediate neonatal assessments/n - Administer blood products,
antibiotics, antivirals, surfactants, and steroids as ordered/n -
Start and maintain IVs, umbilical arterial catheters (UACs), and
umbilical venous catheters (UVCs)/n - Assist with lumbar punctures
and manage neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) cases/n - Perform
accurate neonatal dosage calculations and provide developmental,
family-centered care/n - Utilize and monitor oxygen delivery
systems, bubble CPAP, HFNC, and high-frequency ventilation/n -
Manage common neonatal respiratory conditions including respiratory
distress syndrome and meconium aspiration/n - Provide patient and
family teaching, education, and emotional support during
hospitalization/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social
Services, Pharmacy, and more/n - Maintain flexibility to float to
other units or campuses as needed to support staffing/n /n/n Why
