ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Abilene, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - NICU Job Details: • 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred • First-time travelers accepted • Must live more than 150 miles from the facility • May be required to float to other campus or floors - flexibility required • Self-scheduling system • 5 weekend days required during 6-week schedule • Float coverage to Mother Baby unit or North Campus as needed • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE • Care for neonates, primarily those greater than 34 weeks • Skills include: attending high risk deliveries, NICU II care, administration of blood products, IV starts and maintenance, UAC/UVC procedures, neonatal dosage calculations, medication administration, lumbar puncture assistance, APGAR scoring, developmental care, patient/family teaching, phlebotomy, thermoregulation • Equipment experience: Bubble CPAP, suctioning, High Flow Nasal Cannula, high frequency ventilation, oxygen delivery systems • Handle conditions including neonatal abstinence syndrome, meconium aspiration, respiratory distress syndrome • Charting system: Altera experience preferred but not required • Travel experience preferred • Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only • Must complete facility drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing • Complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer • Non-billable modules completed during orientation (6-8 hours average) Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive NICU providing specialized care for neonatal patients.
