About the Position Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession:
Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years preferred
License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP,
AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Beginner Must-Have:
Must be flexible to float to other areas. Must live within 150
miles of facility. Description: May be asked to float to other
departments as needed. Flexibility in assignments is required. 3
years of experience is preferred. First-time travelers are
accepted. BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, and
AWHONN Beginner certifications are required. Experience in Level I
Nursery, Labor & Delivery, and High Risk Antepartum is preferred.
Skills in various obstetrical procedures are necessary. Must be
able to assist with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
Experience in fetal monitoring and interpretation is required.
Knowledge of postpartum care and newborn assessments is essential.
Ability to provide lactation support and discharge teaching to new
parents is necessary. The candidate must be well-versed in
emergency interventions and resource management. General anesthesia
and pain management experience are required. Strong communication
skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team are
essential. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Travel
experience is preferred but not mandatory. Compliance with required
vaccinations and health screenings is necessary. Requirements
