Speech Language Pathologist Location: Brownwood, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,586 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/4/2026 About the Position Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Outpatient Speech Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (09:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 1 License: License to practice Speech Language Pathology in the State of Texas or eligible for licensure. Certifications: Current CPR certification. Must-Have: Experience with pediatrics to geriatrics and modified barium swallow studies. Description: Pending licenses are acceptable. Previous charge experience is required. Charting system experience is required. Preferred experience in community hospital settings. Travel experience is preferred. Certifications needed include FEES, Vital Stim, and BLS. Skills required include working with laryngectomy, TBI, and conducting fiberoptic endoscopic evaluations of swallow. Ability to interpret FEES and utilize Passy Muir valves is required. Knowledge of thermal simulation, trach/vent, and suctioning is necessary. Understanding signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse is essential. Experience in aural rehabilitation and functional maintenance programs is important. Familiarity with voice prosthesis and various assessments such as ALPS and BIMS is needed. Knowledge of SNF and various evaluation tools like BAE and CELF is required. Experience with adult and pediatric outpatient settings is necessary. Familiarity with CVA, dysarthria, dysphagia, fluency, and developmental disorders is essential. Ability to conduct bedside swallow evaluations and modified barium swallow studies is necessary. Knowledge of dietary modifications and patient/family education is important.
