Job Description Job Description Benefits and retirement Purpose:
Assist in the construction, installation and fabrication of form
structures of wood, patent form systems, or a combination of both.
Level Classification: Multilevel designations indicate levels of
proficiency, experience, training, education, certification, tenure
and resulting compensation Work Schedule: Varies by location. Must
have open availability any time any day of the week. Length of
employment is limited to job assignment and/or project duration.
Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability
to:) Level III Identify safety equipment Read a ruler Identify and
properly use hand tools Clean and oil patented forms Drive nails
Strip forms Use sledgehammer and stripping bar Perform basic math
Recognize and identify unsafe conditions and the regulations
applicable to employee's work environment to control or eliminate
any hazards of other exposure to illness or injury Work within
company policy as outlined in the Samuel EPC Craft Handbook and
maintain compliance with both the Samuel EPC Human Resources Policy
Manual and the Samuel EPC Safety Manual. Perform other duties as
assigned by the foreman/supervisor as needed. Level II (All of
Level III plus the following) Identify nail types and sizes
Identify and operate power tools Make measurements using a tape to
an 1/16" tolerance Identify lumber by grade and size Use handsaw
Identify patented form sizes and hardware and purpose of each
Identify and use form hardware to erect forms Set up, use, and
store oxy/acetylene torch cutting rig Properly use hand signals to
guide/direct equipment operators Operate portable generators Erect
tube and safety scaffolds Level I (All of Level III and Level II
plus the following:) Beginner knowledge to read blueprint plans and
elevations Use a framing square for layout work Assemble patented
forms Install formwork plumb, square, and level to acceptable
tolerances. Set anchor bolts and embeds Perform rigging for lifts
Identify reinforcing steel Perform basic rebar tying Practice OSHA
scaffold and ladder rules Essential Qualifications
3monthsofindustrial/construction/general labor experience Ability
to work with others to achieve job goals Read, write and
communicate using the the English language sufficient to perform
job functions (other preferences will be given for special language
skills where there is a business need) Physical Requirements Stand
or walk for long periods of time Use arms and hands to reach for,
handle or manipulate objects Lift and carry materials weighing up
to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds
with assistance Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other
objects Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl See well (naturally or with
correction) Eyehand coordination Good physical fitness Good sense
of balance Work at great heights Tool Requirements Level III Steel
