Under direction to provide highly responsible and complex
financial and administrative support to the Director and Assistant
Director of Finance. Aides in the preparation of the annual budget
for the City. Monitors the annual budget and makes recommendations
for modifications. Ensures financial reporting and procedural
compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local
regulations including governmental generally accepted accounting
principles. Aides in the annual audit and preparation of the
Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Aides in the

Assist in all Finance Department services and activities
including such areas as treasury, accounting, collections, audit,

Research, analyze, and recommend revenue-generating and
cost-reducing proposals for capital and operating programs; prepare
long-range financial projections.
Assist with the annual audit process and the annual financial

Experience and Training Guidelines:

Knowledge, skills, and abilities may be obtained through:
Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in
governmental financial planning, accounting, and administration,
including administrative supervision is required.
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
with a concentration in finance, accounting, business
administration, public administration or a related field is
License or Certificate:
Possession of a Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO)
and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is
