  Position Summary: Wilks Brothers is looking for a journeyman electrician in Cisco, TX to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
  Key Roles / Responsibilities: -
  
  • 
    
  • Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
    
  • Repairing or replacing wiring, equipment or fixtures using hand or power tools.
    
  • Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures.
    
  • Planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and/or fixtures based upon job specifications and local codes.
    
  • Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects or the needs for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
    
  • Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus or components using tests equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
    
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    
    Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
      
    • High school graduate or equivalent.
      
    • Able to read, write and speak English.
      
    • Possess a strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
      
    • Dependable, reliable, and capable of fulfilling responsibilities.
      
    • Valid Driver's License
      
    • Must be capable of working independently and as a member of a team.
      
    • Some travel required.
      
    • Sensitive to confidential information.
      
    • 1-2 years' experience as a journeyman electrician, preferred. -
      
      Working Conditions:
      
      • 
        
      • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
        
      • The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
        
      • Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels and demonstrate manual dexterity and be able to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
        
      • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
        
      • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
        
      • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
        
      • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
        
      • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
        
      • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
        
      • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
