Job Description Job Description Purchasing Supervisor / Manager Location: Breckenridge, Texas (On-site) Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience) Position Summary A growing residential home builder between West Fort Worth and Abilene is seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to oversee procurement and vendor management for its construction operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring materials, components, and services are sourced cost-effectively, delivered on time, and meet quality standards across multiple homebuilding projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in manufacturing or production-based purchasing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage purchasing activities for construction materials, fixtures, and subcontracted services Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with vendors and suppliers Establish and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and local vendors Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and job schedules to ensure materials are available when needed Collaborate with construction, accounting, and operations teams to support build schedules and budgets Analyze purchasing trends, pricing, and supplier performance to drive cost savings and efficiency Resolve supply chain issues, shortages, and quality concerns quickly and effectively Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and compliance documentation Implement and improve purchasing processes, controls, and reporting Required Qualifications 5 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience Manufacturing or production-based purchasing experience required Prior experience in construction, homebuilding, or related industries strongly preferred Proven ability to negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple vendors, timelines, and priorities Proficiency with purchasing systems, spreadsheets, and ERP or inventory software Must be able to work full-time on site in West Fort Worth What We Offer Competitive salary of $80,000 – $100,000 Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing home builder Hands-on leadership role with high visibility across operations Opportunity to improve and shape purchasing processes
